Navajo Chief Blanket Raffle by Gloria Begay: A Sheep is Life Fundraiser

We’re organizing a raffle for this wonderful Chief Blanket Variant weaving to help weaving instructor Gloria Begay raise money for the upcoming Sheep is Life Celebration in Window Rock! Here are the relevant details!

• The raffle is for a Navajo Chief Blanket Variant weaving by Gloria Begay.
• The weaving measures 24×31.
• The rug is woven with commercially spun Navajo-churro  wool.  Indigo, cochineal, sage, and acid dyes are used in the weaving, but most of the color is natural.
• The estimated retail value of the rug is $3000.  
• 100 $25 tickets will be sold for the rug.  
• The drawing will be held on Sunday, September 15, at 4 PM. The drawing will be live on Zoom.  
• Rug can be picked up by the winner or shipped at the winner’s expense.
• 100% of the purchase price goes to help fund the Sheep is Life Celebration.
