Description

Emily Malone is one of the family of weavers known as The Spider Rock Girls.  She lives at Spider Rock, Arizona on the rim of Canyon de Chelly and her family’s summer home is in the Canyon at the base of Spider Rock.  There, the family grows peaches, apricots, and apples.  Emily shares her fond memories of summers there in this unique piece.  It was woven the hard way, just as you see it, so that Emily could better depict the scene without distortion.  Emily also hand dyed some of the wool that she used to obtain exactly the shade that she wanted to use.  The piece measures 47.5″x15.5″.
This is currently one of our top weavings but we have enabled offers on this item.
