Monokrom Worsted by Urth Yarns is spun from extra-fine merino wool spun and hand-dyed in Turkey with roots, fruits, and nuts. It has tonal self-stripes, but there is less variation than in Urth’s Monokrom Worsted. The colors are less vivid than Urth’s Uneek Worsted and Monokrom Worsted.
Naturally dyed yarns can vary from dye run to dye run. The yarn you receive may look slightly different from the pictures. To ensure the best results :
Buy enough yarn for your entire project so that the color distribution is more uniform from skein to skein.
When you use hand-dyed yarn in your project, work two rows from one skein and two rows from another skein to give an overall blended effect.
Harvest Worsted is new to us, so we are glad to special order for you. We hope to add more colors. The selection is tempting, and we’re intrigued by their kits.

What We Like About Harvest Worsted
We like the inclusion of natural dyestuff in a commercial line. Urth fills orders fast, so if we order more, it’ll be here fast. As we said, we’re also looking at some of their kits, but we want to finish a few smaller items first.
Urth Yarns plants a tree in Africa for each skein purchased. You have to like that.
Why It Might Not Work for You
Do you like muted colorways? Yeah, Monokrom Worsted probably isn’t going to appeal to you. Give it a try for next-to-the-skin items rather than outerwear.
