The Navajo Weaving Techniques Boot Camp in Gallup class brings our popular four-day intensive format to Gallup’s Arts and Cultural district! Class starts on a Sunday or Wednesday and lasts for four intense days, ending with a celebration!

Continuing Hybrid Navajo Weaving Techniques: Beginning and Intermediate
Continuing Hybrid Navajo Weaving Techniques helps you develop and advance your Navajo techniques education with Diné instructors Jennie Slick and Gloria Begay. Beginning and Intermediate students will build on their knowledge to make more perfect joins, plan designs, and learn about the textile market.

Hybrid Beginning Navajo Weaving Techniques
An introductory class in Navajo weaving techniques. Class meets for three hours each week for five weeks and covers warping, basic weaving, and joining techniques. May be repeated. Instruction provided by two Diné instructors.

Sign up for as many lists as you’d like. It’s free, and we really appreciate our students who can join us with less notice. It helps us to be flexible and responsive.

Our week-long weaving class is a six-day total immersion into weaving and modern Navajo life in and near the Navajo Nation at our store in the diverse and artistically vibrant Gallup, New Mexico community.

The Gallup Socker and Allied Sports League: A Fiberholic Chatting Support Group
Hey, fiber enthusiasts! Would you like to join some like-minded knitters for two hours of knitting, chatting, and having fun on Tuesday and Thursday evenings? Of course, you would! The Gallup Socker and Allied Sports League invites you to tune in via Zoom and work on your favorite project. It’s not a class, but your fellow participants are happy to answer questions, recommend references, and perhaps recommend a class that will help you progress. No by-laws, no officers, no gossip, and no politics! They are just a great group of fiber friends. Join regularly, or check in when you can.
How to join? Put the free product in your cart, and check out. You’ll get a “ticket” for the Zoom meetings until the end of 2025. Such a deal!
